About the Team

The vision for Independent Motorsports Group comes from a group of dedicated motorsports enthusiasts spearheaded by Charlie Greenhaus. Charlie has over 20 years of motorsports experience ranging from event management, to driving, instructing and coaching, to car prep and service. He has been the driving force behind Entropy Racing, which fields 15 race-ready rental cars out of their shop as well as servicing a host of customer owned vehicles.

IMG is here today thanks to the tremendous support for the concept and the unbelievable effort and dedication of dozens of like-minded enthusiasts working as a team. Without them, IMG would just be a great idea whose time would never come. The Independent Motorsports Group is a driving and racing club conceived and shaped by the participants. Your active involvement and input are what will help us thrive.

Staff Profiles

Here's a little bit about some of the people that help make IMG events possible:

Charlie Greenhaus
Director of Motorsports Activities

If you've raced in the Northeast in the last two decades, you probably know Charlie Greenhaus. From racing to coaching, building and preparing a variety of race cars from Formula Vees to Sports Racers to Subarus to Bush Cars, to hosting and managing top quality events,

Charlie has an understanding of club racing that few can rival. Now he's ready to share the fruits of all his labors as the Director of IMG.

Charles Turano
Chief Race Instructor

Through decades of experience training drivers both in the classroom and on the track, veteran race instructor Charles Turano has spent countless hours helping drivers find their groove. A talented racer in his own right, Charles will be looking to help groom the next generation of top flight drivers as IMG's Chief Instructor.

Charles' weapon of choice is an Entropy Sports Racer. Not that he's picky - He'll drive pretty much anything fast.

Todd Reid
Chief DE/TT Instructor & Race Instructor

Hard-charging national championship driver Todd Reid brings his multi-faceted racing experience to IMG. Todd is a certified instructor with numerous national organizations, and will be helping IMG racers get up to speed as Chief Instructor of the DE program as well as a race instructor.

Todd owns and actively races a varied fleet of cars- His current active fleet includes a KL-ZE powered Ford Probe GT, a turbo Honda Civic, and a Lotus Super Seven.

Mark Rounds
Chief of Flagging and Communications

When Pro Flagger Mark Rounds gets ready for an event, he packs a lifetime of motorsport experience along with his flags and gear. Mark is an active flagger certified by a number of organizations, including SCCA, IMSA, Grand-Am, ARCA, American Le Mans Series, Indycar, Can-Am, PCA, AMA, and NASA.

Prior to his tenure at IMG, Mark had also served as Chief of F&C / Control for several club racing organizations in the region.

In addition to enjoying long cruises on his motorcycle, Mark has raced a variety of cars - Everything from Formula Vees to Sports Racers to many different kinds of Sedans.

Tim Stehr
Chief of Tech

With 25 years of experience working on everything from sedans to sports racers, Tim brings his super strong technical skills to IMG events as our new Chief of Tech. Both knowledgeable and helpful, Tim is a rare breed amongst tech inspectors - Tim is an ASE Master and a veritable expert on suspension dynamics, he is always willing to jump in and diagnose issues to help members in need.

When it comes to driving, Tim isn't picky. He'll get behind the wheel of anything safe and fast.

Jon Coffin
Chief of Tech

Just because he's the "Assistant" Chief of Tech, don't underestimate Jon. Jon raced his first go-kart at just 10 years old, was helping rebuild it by age 12, and was modifying it when he was 14. He is as old as he looks, so he's been wrenching for 50 years!

Remember to say hi to Jon as you breeze through tech. He will be inspecting your car, asking you questions, and helping out with suggestions to get you on track as soon as possible so you can have fun!

Roger Maeda

Roger took his first paycheck from his first job out of college and immediately spent it on a helmet and entry fees for his first DE event. As registrar and through the website, Roger will be making sure that participants know what to do and where to go when they arrive at an IMG event.

Roger currently races a 93 Honda Prelude Si that was once his daily driven commuter car.

Look for us at your next IMG event!
